The 123 m² SemperGreenwall Outdoor was installed in January 2019 and has since become a distinctive feature of the building. Thanks to pre-grown Flexipanels and a carefully composed plant mix, the façade remains green throughout the year. Even in winter, the wall retains its appearance, ensuring a representative look in every season. This year-round performance underlines the reliability and quality that Groenendijk stands for.

Behind the lush green façade lies intelligent technology. The SemperGreenwall Outdoor is equipped with Sempergreen’s web-based Plant Care System. This system automatically supplies the plants with water and nutrients, adjusted to seasonal and weather conditions. Because the wall is installed outdoors, the system includes frost protection. When temperatures drop below freezing, water supply is automatically stopped, protecting the roots from frost damage and ensuring long-term plant health.

A more pleasant place to work and visit

The green façade does more than enhance the building’s appearance. Greenery has a proven positive effect on how people feel. For employees, it creates a calmer, more pleasant working environment with reduced stress levels. Visitors experience a warmer, more welcoming arrival than at a conventional industrial building. The façade acts as a soft transition between outside and inside, contributing to a positive first impression.

By renovating circularly, reusing materials and investing in WKO systems and 3,600 solar panels, the building achieves up to 80% energy savings. Sustainability is structurally embedded in the company’s operations and visible in everyday choices.
