1. Flexipanels

Flexipanels are the building blocks of the Sempergreenwall. The Flexipanel was designed with the needs of the plants in mind. The core of the Flexipanel is made of mineral wool, a sustainable and lightweight alternative to soil. The mineral wool endows the Flexipanel with an enhanced capacity to retain moisture without attracting soil-based fungi and other plant diseases.

It also provides the plant with more space to root, thereby reducing the need for plant replacements. At the top of each Flexipanel, there is a sleeve for the drip lines which automatically deliver the water and nutrients necessary for the plants to thrive. The result is larger, fuller plants with more flowers.

2. No Root Binding

Due to the design of the Sempergreen Flexipanels, the roots in a Sempergreenwall can grow naturally without being confined by a barrier. Plants that are confined by a barrier, such as a pot, cannot grow to their full potential and are more susceptible to environmental elements and disease. Natural root growth means:

• The plant roots are fully integrated into the Flexipanel, allowing the roots easy access to moisture and making the plants resistant to extreme winds.
• The roots can find protection from the cold and heat in the Mineral Wool. The Mineral Wool protects the root systems by keeping them moist and providing insulation.
• The Mineral wool optimizes plant growth by providing a continuous flow of nutrition through the Plant Care System, which is easily accessible to the roots. This optimizes the growth of the plant and allows it to reach its full potential.

3. Plant Care System

The integrated Plant Care System will protect your plants and irrigation lines from frost and/or freezing by automatically blocking the irrigation and draining the lines when frost is detected. This prevents damage to the irrigation system and to the roots and plants. The irrigation will resume automatically once the temperatures rise again.

This system enables the plants to be watered year-round, even in the colder months! It also pumps nutrition into the SemperGreenwall, giving the plants the extra nutrition, vitamins, and minerals they need to thrive in each season.
