What type of maintenance is required?

Sempergreen green roofs are easy to maintain. A Sedum roof requires only two simple maintenance visits per year—typically in spring and fall—to remove weeds, check drainage, and apply nutrients. No mowing is necessary. Biodiverse roofs require a bit more attention, with 2–3 maintenance sessions per year and a trim at the end of winter to keep plants healthy. In dry periods, occasional watering may be necessary, especially right after installation to help the plants establish.
