Primary school GOM in Meerdonk, Belgium, has opted for a future-proof roof. The old roofing material contained asbestos and was due for renewal. The roof has been removed and made way for a beautiful 800m² green roof. Sempergreen used its Sedum-mix blankets Type T for this project, which are especially suitable for sloping roofs. The green roofs give the building a sustainable appearance and also contribute to a more pleasant living environment for the children.

Higher energy efficiency

A green roof offers, among other things, advantages with regard to energy and cost reduction. It protects the roof against weather influences such as sun, rain, wind and temperature changes, which, in turn, helps the roof last much longer. The Sedum plants absorb and reflect sunlight, creating a more pleasant climate within the building. This ensures a cooler indoor climate during warm periods.
