Since there is no daylight in this area of the building, the living wall is lit by growing lights. The choice of plants are a mixture of light colored, subtropical plants.

Adaptive re-use development

Anken Air is a unique adaptive re-use development within the Changning District in Shanghai that will focus on sustainable practices and management for the creative industry office market. Anken Air will target innovative companies by offering an active community environment as well as a small component of food/beverage and commercial uses.

The indoor living wall is illuminated with growing lights, since there is no daylight near the elevator group.

Pure Air System

Anken Air’s primary sustainability initiative is the implementation of a Pure Air System, allowing the tenants to breathe clean, fresh air continuously in order to live a healthier life. Other sustainable initiatives include; adaptive re-use of abandoned buildings, green walls, urban farming, recycled materials, low VOC paints/adhesives and solar energy.
