Biodegradable locking pin
The GreenStake is a 100% biodegradable securing pin. This securing pin is manufactured from organic materials originating from wheat and potato starch. Natural microorganisms in the soil ensure the full decomposition of the GreenStake.
Application
The GreenStake is used mainly on slopes and embankments for fixing vegetation blankets or the underlying weed barrier cloth to prevent it from slipping away. An advantage of the barbs on the GreenStake is that these pins can hold up to 45% more weight in place than the metal securing pins.
The GreenStake retains this property for at least 18 months. Within this time, the Sedum-mix blanket will have rooted itself sufficiently and be properly fixedly to the ground.
